A Time for Clearing Clutter
I’m a clutter coach. I help people discern what to keep and what to prune from their spaces and schedules to make room for what truly matters. I’m writing this in late August, in Bellingham, Washington in the northwest corner of the United States. We are now in our fifth month of sequestering for Covid-19, struggling with the depth of this country’s racial and economic injustices, and in great suspense about an upcoming, high-stakes presidential election. Just about everyone is anxious and experiencing blatant or ambiguous grief. Wherever you live, whatever your life circumstances, you are likely experiencing your own version of a world seeming off-course and out-of-control. It might seem like a strange time to focus.
